三只小豬學(xué)英語第47集：漢英翻譯大賽半決賽

　　The first little pig has an English school. The name of the school is Three Little Pigs English School. It is a very good school. The teachers of this school are very good. They speak beautiful English and they work very hard. Their students study very hard. They are very young. They can speak very good English too.
　　 They can translate from Chinese into English very quickly. They can translate from English into Chinese very quickly too. One day, CCTV播出了一條消息：On Children's Day, there will be a Chinese-English translating competition on CCTV. 這一消息在Beijing Evening Paper, Chinese Children's Paper, and China Education Paper也刊登了出來。

　　第一只小豬有他的英語學(xué)校。學(xué)校的名字叫三只小豬英語學(xué)校。這是所很棒的學(xué)校。學(xué)校的老師都很不錯(cuò)。他們英語很棒，他們也很努力地工作。學(xué)校里的學(xué)生都用功讀書。他們很年輕。他們也可以講很棒的英語。
　　他們可以很快地進(jìn)行漢英翻譯。一天，中央電視臺(tái)播出了一條消息，在兒童節(jié)那天，中央電視臺(tái)將舉辦一場漢英翻譯比賽。這一消息在北京晚報(bào)，兒童報(bào)和中國教育報(bào)上也刊登出來了。

　　The first little pig看到這一消息，馬上call the teachers, 他說，“Please ask the best students to go to CCTV for the translating competition. You must help them好好地準(zhǔn)備，爭取get first prize and second prize.” 于是，CCTV Chinese-English translating competition的消息很快就在Three Little Pigs English school傳開了。The teachers挑選了three students作為參賽選手。They are the best students. There are two girls and one boy. One girl's name is Mary, the other girl's name is Alice. The boy's name is Sam.

　　第一只小豬看到這一消息，馬上打電話給學(xué)校的老師，他說，找最好的學(xué)生去參加中央電視臺(tái)的翻譯比賽。你們要幫助他們好好地準(zhǔn)備，爭取拿一等獎(jiǎng)和二等獎(jiǎng)。于是，中央電視臺(tái)的漢英翻譯比賽的消息很快就在三只小豬英語學(xué)校傳開了。老師挑選了三位學(xué)生作為參賽選手。他們是最好的學(xué)生。兩個(gè)女生和一個(gè)男生。一個(gè)女生叫瑪麗，另一個(gè)叫愛麗絲。男生的名字叫山姆。

　　Children's Day will come in eleven days. They study very hard with the help of their teachers. They all want to get first prize. 與此同時(shí)，Mr. White Cat也在鼓勵(lì)his students積極參加CCTV Chinese-English translating competition. 他說，“My dear students, I know you are excellent students. Your English is very good.I am sure you can get first prize and second prize. But you must remember, the students of Three Little Pigs English School are very good too. I hear they want to get first prize and second prize too. You know, there is only one first prize and second prize. If you want to get first prize, you must study very,very hard. Understand?” His students齊聲說，“Yes!” 通過考試，他們挑選了three students作為這次competition的參賽選手。They are Liu Meimei, a girl, Zhang Shanshan, another girl, and Li Xiaowei, a boy. They are all very happy and study hard with the help of Mr. White Cat.

　　再過十一天兒童節(jié)就要來了。在老師的幫助下他們都很認(rèn)真地學(xué)習(xí)。他們都想拿一等獎(jiǎng)。與此同時(shí)，白貓先生也在鼓勵(lì)他的學(xué)生積極參加中央電視臺(tái)的漢英翻譯比賽。他說，我親愛的學(xué)生們，我知道你們都是很優(yōu)秀的。你們的英語很棒。我確定你們肯定能拿到一等獎(jiǎng)和二等獎(jiǎng)。但你們要記住，三只小豬英語學(xué)校來的學(xué)生也是很優(yōu)秀的。我聽說他們也想拿一等獎(jiǎng)和二等獎(jiǎng)。你們知道，只有一個(gè)一等獎(jiǎng)和二等獎(jiǎng)。如果你們想要拿獎(jiǎng)，那就必須很努力地學(xué)習(xí)，聽懂了嗎？他的學(xué)生齊聲說，聽懂了。通過考試，他們挑選了三名學(xué)生作為這次比賽的參賽選手。他們是劉梅梅，張珊珊和李小偉。他們很開心，在白貓先生的幫助下很用功地學(xué)習(xí)。

　　Eleven days很快就過去了。On Children's Day, CCTV Chinese-English translating competition starts. There are three judges. They are Dr. Monkey, the second little pig, and the third little pig. Dr. Monkey曾經(jīng)study medicine in Canada. That is why his English is very good. The first little pig and Mr. White Cat cannot be judges for this competition, because their students參加了this competition. This is the competition's 規(guī)則。有了這樣的規(guī)則，就可以避免judges為自己的students專打高分的現(xiàn)象。Mr. White Cat and the first little pig can only help CCTV 主持人做一部分主持工作。CCTV主持人is a beautiful girl, she asks Mr. White Cat and the first little pig to read sentences in Chinese,讓參賽選手translate them into English. CCTV 主持人說，“Today is a happy day for you. It is Children's Day. I am sure you are all very happy today. Today, we have six excellent students參加our CCTV Chinese-English translating competition. They are all very young, and their English is very good. We have three judges. They are Dr. Monkey, Mr. Second Little Pig, and Mr. Third Little Pig. Mr. White Cat and Mr. First Little Pig will read sentences in Chinese for the students to translate from Chinese into English. Now Mr. White Cat and Mr. First Little pig!”

　　十一天很快就過去了。在兒童節(jié)，中央電視臺(tái)的漢英翻譯比賽開始了。有三位評(píng)委。他們是猴子醫(yī)生，第二只小豬和第三只小豬。猴子醫(yī)生曾經(jīng)在加拿大學(xué)過醫(yī)，所以他的英語很好。第一只小豬和白貓先生不能作評(píng)委，因?yàn)樗麄兊膶W(xué)生參加了這次比賽。這也是比賽的規(guī)則，有了這樣的規(guī)則，就可以避免評(píng)委為自己的學(xué)生打高分的現(xiàn)象。白貓先生和第一只小豬幫助中央電視臺(tái)主持人做一部分主持工作。中央電視臺(tái)主持人是一位漂亮的姑娘，她讓第一只小豬和白貓先生用中文念句子，讓參賽選手把他們翻譯成英文。中央電視臺(tái)主持人說，“今天對(duì)你們來說是一個(gè)開心的日子，因?yàn)榻裉焓莾和��?jié)。我肯定你們都是很開心的。今天，我們有六位優(yōu)秀的學(xué)生參加這次漢英翻譯比賽。他們都很年輕，他們的英語也很棒。我們有三位評(píng)委。他們是猴子醫(yī)生，第二只小豬和第三只小豬。第一只小豬和白貓先生將會(huì)用中文給學(xué)生念句子，讓他們翻譯成英語�，F(xiàn)在有請(qǐng)白貓先生和第一只小豬。”

　　Mr. White Cat and Mr. First Little Pig在熱烈的掌聲中走上臺(tái)，“Thank you very much. Today we have four levels of sentences. Sentences of Level One are very short. They are easy to translate. Sentences of Level Two are short too, but not very very short. They are also easy to translate, but not very very easy.Sentences of Level Three are long, but not very long. They are a little difficult to translate. Sentences of Level Four are very long. They are very difficult to translate. This morning, we will have半決賽，and this afternoon, we will have決賽。In半決賽，we will give you sentences of Level One and Level Two only. In決賽，we will give you sentences of Level Three and Level Four. Now we will read sentences of Level One.”

　　白貓先生和第一只小豬在熱烈的掌聲中走上臺(tái)，“謝謝，今天我們有四個(gè)級(jí)別的句子。第一個(gè)級(jí)別的句子非常簡短。他們很容易翻譯。第二個(gè)級(jí)別的句子也很簡短，但不是那么簡短。他們也容易翻譯，但不是那么地容易。第三個(gè)級(jí)別的句子有點(diǎn)長，但不是很長。他們翻譯起來有點(diǎn)困難。第四個(gè)級(jí)別的句子很長，很難翻譯。今天早上我們將進(jìn)行半決賽，下午是決賽。在半決賽中，我們會(huì)給你們第一個(gè)級(jí)別和第二個(gè)級(jí)別的句子。在決賽中，我們會(huì)給你們第三個(gè)級(jí)別和第四個(gè)級(jí)別的句子�，F(xiàn)在，我們來讀第一個(gè)級(jí)別的句子。”于是，漢英翻譯大賽半決賽在熱烈的掌聲中拉開了帷幕。
