Leopard did not give up. After a long while, he managed to free Jupa. There were deep cuts all over Jupa's body.

He had learnt his lesson. He dared not harm the animals in the Jungle again. The jungle was peaceful once more.

The deep cuts on Jupa's body took a long time to heal and left marks that never went away.

That was perhaps how tigers came to have stripes on their bodies.
